Palliative care provides care for people of all ages who have a life limiting illness and where cure is no longer an option. The primary treatment is relieving pain and maximising quality of life. Palliative care also embraces the care of family and friends in coping with distress and emotion that affects a loved one suffering terminal illness. The Palliative Care Foundation is committed to advancing the future of professional care through education and research by actively seeking funds and support.
